Bernhard, Given that digital printing is an area subject to great change and, hopefully, rapid technical advancement, I would not be inclinded to stock pile 1160 printers. I have a 1280 which is mechanically the same as the 1290 but there are critical differences in the electronics so that there is a difference in the drivers. Bernd Langmack ran into problems in attempting to use Paul Roark's curves with the MIS VM inkset on a 1290. I have not heard any reports on Piezo and the 1290 at this point.
