Before buying ImagePrint I decided to try the Gray Balancer using the Kodak Gray Scale method previously suggested by another member of this newsgroup. So far I have had limited success and I have a question for this group. The Gray Balancer is a stand alone program that takes control of the 2200 print drivers. One first selects the paper type and then prints a built-in grayscale and some sample images. If this has no color cast than one is done. If there is a color cast than one prints out a set of color swatches for 4 points on the scale. Using the Kodak Gray scale you select the 4 swatches that best match the scale and enter a three digit number for each swatch. Then you print out a new grayscale with the corrected colors. You then iterate this process to fine tune the colors. The question is, since this process does not allow the use of any of the correction curves/profiles that one would apply in Photoshop, how does it correct for a real image printed using the 2200 via Photoshop w/soft proof? I have yet to be able to eliminate a slight green cast in the lighter values. I am using EEM. Any comments would be appreciated. Mike
