Linda, I have always had better results contacting MIS on the phone. It is a small company and email may not be their best use of technical staff time. Need to hire a guy in Jaipur with a flip chart. :-) I have bought ink from them for several years and have been very pleased. There may be someone on this list or the Epson list that can sort out your chip re-set problem.
