I don¹t know if anyone is interested and it is essentially an Epson group , but since I have learned so much here that I have been able to apply, I will outline my situation. I am using an 11 color Colorspan printer, quad blacks included. The printer carries its own camera for linearity and profile building. The quad blacks are fairly neutral on Photo Rag. Uses quad black + 7 color for CYMK prints. Using the company supplied profiles gives terrible grayscale prints on 11 color. However, building ones own profiles makes a completely neutral print. Additionally, with a profiled monitor, any ³toned² image is reproduced almost exactly. A major drawback is that these inks are only available as ³long lasting dye². The company also has pigment inks but the gamut is severely limited. I understand that their extended gamut dye set has a short print longevity.
