Carl Schofield writes: "[Polaroid 55] negatives are beautiful and scan very well (I've been exposing at iso 32)." I've found that the negatives are underexposed at 32. I expose somewhere between 20 and 25. Polaroid 55 is great stuff, and it scans wonderfully on the Epson 3200. Lay the negatives, emulsion-side down, right on the glass, and lay the Epson 4x5 film carrier on top with the image centered in the hole for the 4x5 negative (the Polaroid 55 negs don't fit in my carrier but the carrier does a good job of holding the Polaroid 55 neg flat against the glass). Can you freeze Polaroid 55 film for long shelf life? Or do the chemicals not like that sort of thing? I keep a couple of boxes in my fridge, but maybe I need to put more boxes into deep storage.
