Hi Manuel,

Steve has given you some good advice for making sure that your heads
are clean and not obstructed. That could be the problem and is the
easier step to try first. You may also want to check the parking pad,
and put some windex on that and dab it with a paper towel to pull up
old excess ink. Then put some fresh windex on the pad and park your
freshly cleaned heads on it for a few hours or overnight. Go through
the 3 cleaning cycle described in many previous messages before doing
a new set of test prints.

If that doesn't correct the problem, you may find that you
have "foamy ink" in your cartridge, and since that foam doesn't flow
smoothly into the heads, it tends to cause randomized "spatter
patterns". It may be only in the eboni position, or could involve
multiple positions. You can probably tell by pulling your eboni cart
and replacing it with an Epson OEM black cart and doing an alignment
print to see if the problem persists. (make sure you pinch off the
line(s) near the bulk bottle if you pull the cart to preserve vacumn)

There is very clear directions on the MIS site under CFS
Troubleshooting that tell you how to extract the foamy ink and
resolve that kind of issue, (including preserving vacumn or restoring
feed if you loose it -- so no sense repeating it here.

These are the two steps I used in resolving the same issue on my 1280
running UT/Eboni inks. Everything works perfectly now.

Good luck -- it's definitely a job that calls for a bit of patience
and rubber gloves, but the results are definitely worth the effort ;>)
