Rad, I'm using the original CIS, not the CFS, in my 1280. Actually, I've got two of them and just rotate between the two when I install new bottles. I've been doing this for three years now, I believe. It saves a little time and I haven't had any problems with installation other than the tubing getting caught under the printhead in the beginning, but that was easily solved and I suspect the design has been changed to alleviate this possibility. I went through two sets of 4-ounce bottles of the MIS VM inks before switching to the UT2 inks nearly a month ago. I had only occasional minor problems with the VM inks clogging. So far the UT2 inks have been entirely trouble-free with a moderate amount of printing--the ink levels are down about 1/8-inch if that gives you any idea of how much I've printed since installing the UT2 inks. I normally just leave the printer on all the time and there have been periods of a few days when it wasn't used at all. I haven't had to run a cleaning cycle yet. So far, my impression of the UT2 inks is that they're fantastic. Definitely an improvement over the VM inks. Good luck! [Thank you, Paul!] Tom Keesling Intelligent Design, Inc.
