This weekend I tried refilling my UT-2 cartridges for the first time (they came already filled, I subsequently bought the 4 oz bottles and the syringes). My first comment is that I made a big mess. I underestimated how far the ink would squirt out of the top vent if I overfilled (which I did on 4 out of 5 tries). Both of my hands were covered in black ink when it was all said and done, but it washed off with soap and water. It took me 2 sets of cleaning cycles of 3 cleanings each to get clean nozzle checks. I'm still having trouble getting a good nozzle check out of the "light magenta" position (after 36 hours of "rest"). I'm pretty sure it's caused by air in the ink chamber. If I wait long enough, will this problem go away (ie, will the air work its way out)? or should I just pop out the cartridge and try refilling again (after extracting the ink and foam out of the cartridge first). Thanks, Mike
