RE: [Digital BW] Need help on UT2 inkset

George,

The C84 takes the MIS "Easy B&W" carts. They are not UT2 carts.

The tone is monotone. You can only change the tones by putting in a
different mix of neutral or carbon carts. (The C84 carts are all separate,
like the 2200.)

You'll bet nice prints, but the 890 & 1280 with UT2 is a more flexible
approach for those who are B&W enthusiasts.

See the new MIS B&W page at

http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/qn.html.

This is still under construction and the C84 may not even be ready to go.

Subject: [Digital BW] Need help on UT2 inkset

Okay, I'm taking a tenative first step. I just went out and bought a
new C84 (if I like the results, then I'll get a 1280) and want to
purchase some UT2 prefilled carts to start. I need to know which
UT2 carts to purchase for the C84. I'm looking for intense b&w.
I understand I don't need any curves, right?
Can I just play with the sliders for warmer and richer tones?
I've been using Epson HW matte and Premium Luster, can I still
use these?
Will I be rid of color casting and metamerism forever?
Thanks for your help.
