I know this is bit off topic but with the breadth of experience in this forum I thought someone could help (and it does involve mounting digital B/W prints). I am currently printing up an exhibition of my work based around the mining communities here in the UK. The plan is to have 2 versions, one glass mounted for galleries and one laminated for more community based venues. I think it is important that the people I photographed have the opportunity to see the work........... So I am about to buy an A3 laminator. The problem is I have no experience of using one. I want quite heavy laminates to protect the prints. Could anyone help me with any information based on their own experiences? What machines should I be looking at? What price range? The prints will be printed on a Epson 2100 - B/O using MIS Eboni on Epson Archival Matte paper. Will running them through a heated laminator effect the colours? Any help would be appreciated.
