Hello all. Now that I'm firmly entrenched in desktop printmaking, I'm
thinking about selling my large format gear to make way for, what appears to
be, the inevitable transition to digital capture. Truth be told, I haven't
used the LF stuff for a while, having warmed up to 35mm. Now the lure of a
high-end digital SLR with instant gratification is strong. My question is
whether there are reliable places besides ebay on the internet. I don't
really trust ebay/paypal (I see to open a seller account they want my bank
account number in addition to a credit card number. I know --- everytime I
write a check someone has my bank account number, but still it doesn't sound
right, and I've heard lots of horror stories, defrauded once there
myself...). More to the point, a search for LF equipment on ebay today
resulted in pretty slim pickings. My search skills are probably just off
today, but I couldn't come up with alternatives. Any advice appreciated!
Regards,
