Only some LCDs can be accurately profiled by a Spyder, and indeed most can't. That isn't to say that you'll get an error message telling you that it was unable to calibrate it. It will simply miscalibrate it. I don't mean to pick on the Spyder--I expect most devices will have similar troubles.
