I have over 100 transactions on eBay as a seller and buyer. As a seller it's really safe - the item is sent only after payment is cleared - simple as that. As a buyer I've had only good experiences. I sold a mint Deardorf for $3400. last year to a person in England - no problem - I'm in NJ USA. I just sold an Adam's Minex Tropical for $2900. to a camera collector in Japan - no problem: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2980262565 The only scam I've come across are emails saying my paypal/ebay account will be closed and I need to send them all my account/credit card numbers and passwords again - yes this is scary! I'm sure there will be a few people that will fall for it - I almost did the first time! So what I do is as mentioned - I have a separate bank account for paypal and move the money to my regular bank account ASAP. John V.
