Hi: I put scotch tape over the bottom and top vent holes this does seem to keep them from drying out. I have stored them over two weeks without any problems. However.......they do leak so be careful. I called MIS and they said there is not valve in the bottom holes to prevent the leakage, but they literally sell rivets (which I have yet to buy but can get in your local home depot) to stick in the bottom holes. Anyway the scotch tape does seem to work for me but again be aware that some ink will leak.
