At least with the 2100, with the no margins driver you do not need to go through this hastle. I'm surprised it's > not in the Mac. It is. Under the Print with preview menu in PS 7.0 - top of the dialogue box next to the left and top margins is a centre image check box. I read the left value and uncheck the box, moving the image up the page to optically centre it without changing the left margin value.
