For some reason, in your case, the connection isn't getting past the node at hop number 16 (gigchannel9 ...), which is a node in Texas belonging to Verizon (a major Internet provider). When I access the site, my path takes a much more direct route, with a much smaller delay than the one you are seeing at the far end. Since I can reach the site and you cannot, chances are that it's not Paul's site that has the problem, but some other link between you and his site (most likely the Verizon link at which your traceroute stops). If it has been this way for six months, there's probably a configuration problem somewhere in the network. -- Anthony
