>The ICC profiles are specific to the piezotone ink sets and therefore it is >quite unlikely that they will suit other manufacturers inks. MIS FS inks are the same densities. So I suspect the MIS FS series inks would work fine as long as one makes sure the inks are in the correct positions. The new Cone ink position is similar to (but maybe not exactly the same as) what MIS marketed a few years ago as the FS-E inksets. The original Piezo hextone arrangement was not consistent with the Epson driver because it used the same density inks in the light and dark positions of the M & C spots. With both the MIS FS-E and new Piezo ICC arrangement, the idea is to allow the Epson driver crossovers to work -- because Epson does an excellent job of it. I am receiving the upgrade to PiezoICC profiles and have ordered the matching Piezotone inkset. --- [This E-mail has been scanned for viruses but it is your responsibility to maintain up to date anti virus software on the device that you are currently using to read this email. ] Please visit the Group Homepage to check the Files, and other resources as they are often being updated. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint If you wish to receive no emails or just a daily digest, or you wish to unsubscribe, please edit your Membership preferences by visiting this same page.
