I don't know how much of a recommendation I'm really giving here, but my friend brought his Monaco Systems thing over and calibrated my monitor and it came out quite good, especially for b&w. I have to get him out again to build a "night" profile for me as well. No matter how dark you think your digital darkroom is, the chances are that there are differences between day and night.
