There is a way of getting an excellent b&w print from the 2200 using Clayton Jones' black only printing method.The technique still allows you to keep your colour inks in place and just replace the Epson black with MIS Eboni. This means you can still continue to print colour on the one printer. Have a look here http://www.cjcom.net/articles/digiprn3.htm I have a sample print he sent me and it is very close to what I can get on my 1290 with UT2.
