Bob, I found my Premium Semigloss test strips with the settings that are in my UT2 Readme file. As the Readme file indicates, and somewhat consistent with your readings, the first/lightest 3 steps are lighter and lower in contrast than my target densities. I measure the paper base (0%) at 0.05, 5% = 0.08, 10% = 0.11, and 15% = 0.14, which is my target for 10%, not 15%. After this the steps have normal and then higher than normal contrast. At the dark end I originally had 2.40 at 100% and 2.0 at 95%. These have now dropped to 2.14 and 1.93, which is still reasonably good. The densities you reported were: > Light Density > 0% 0.09 > 5% 0.11 > 10% 0.14 > 15% 0.18 > Dark Density > 85% 1.71 > 90% 2.05 > 95% 2.23 > 100% 2.24 > ... I'd guess your system is working about like mine at the light end, but the dark end seems to be giving significantly different results. The steps on my tests strips at the dark end appear to be well separated. Paul www.PaulRoark.com For UT2 information, curves, and settings see: http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/
