Trish,

You're using the GIMP / Unix open source driver(not an official Epson driver). Make 
sure you select 
"Epson 1270 USB" in print center (or something like that). Or you may need to install 
the Epson driver still.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
