Digital BW, The Print

My ol' 1160 is finally dead. I need to choose a new printer.

I also may need to choose a new inkset.  (Current is mis/variable 
tone.) 

I'd like use a neutral tone bulk ink that will print on glossy paper. 
(Also needs to print on mat paper.)

I'd like to find a decent heavyweight glossy paper or card stock to 
be used as postcards.

I don't really need a wide printer. A standard width might be okay. 
(Was there a standard width version of the 1160 that might be 
easier to find.) 

If I need to buy a 1280 or newer, I may as well go with a wide 
format printer. 

I haven't needed to make these kinds of desions for a while. I 
don't know what is even available.

Any suggestions?
