You can plug your cable modem direclty in to a wireless router/access point. The access point can function as a DHCP server for your network (except for the print server) and route the internet connection either via ethernet or wireless to your computers. The DHCP will offer a little protection in hiding your PC's from hackers roaming the internet. It's best to use a fixed IP address for the print server ( normally in the 192.168.1.x) range. It's pretty simple and the H/W is cheap.
