I've seen that happen once too. You are right that the set of options you see is just the generic setup. Its been a while so I don't remember the exact circumstances, but I think it was a matter of restarting either the program i.e. Quit and Restart Photoshop or possibly logging out and back in. Deleting the printer and Re-Adding with no other programs running might also help.
