Digital BW, The Print

and it seems to be operating just fine.  I used the prefilled 
version of the CIS.  Now, what do I do with the the hinged lid since 
it no longer closes properly and even seems like it might crimp the 
plastic tubes from the ink bottles to the cartridge.  The printer is 
located in a place which requires me to lean over the top of the 
printer to put paper into the sheet feeder or to install the roll 
paper holder and roll paper. Should I remove the hinged lid and come 
up with some kind of cover to keep out the dust?
