I ran across some streaks very similar to what you describe a few
months back with my 2200 while printing 80 calendars on InkJetArt's
DuoBrite Matte in black only mode. Drove me nuts for a few hours. In my
quest for printing speed (hey that project was 1,280 11x17 passes
through the printer) I had checked "High Speed" Printer Settings at
1440 dpi. Interestingly, I was getting away with it until about 3/4 of
the way through the project. After numerous head cleanings and a few
head alignment procedures, I unchecked "High Speed" and the problem
disappeared.

That may, or may not be the culprit in your case, but it was in mine.
