Hello Sierra, >...the work on the site to me is not much more than snapshots... >...All who think that it is art should... First, I never said anything about whether it is "art" or not. I said it was excellent photography. What "Art" is is a whole 'nother subject which will probably be debated forever. By "putting words in my mouth" your remark is taking this thread somewhere it was not meant to go. Second, if these works are snapshots, then the works of H.C Bresson, Elliot Erwitt and Sebastiao Salgado are also snapshots. If you think that, then I guess our definitions of "snapshot" are different. The man's work is exceptional and I merely wanted to bring it to others' attention here so they could enjoy it. There was no intention to start a discussion and I'm really disappointed that this has turned onto yet another on-line debate. Please, _at least_ limit remarks to what was actually said. We all here love photography, and the occasional OT but related subject enriches the forum experience. But if every thread turns into a dragged out sniping war that detracts from the forum's main purpose then members will be afraid to talk about anything but clogs and curves. Please exercise some judgement on these kinds of threads. Regards, Clayton Info on black and white digital printing at http://www.cjcom.net/digiprnarts.htm
