Roy and others, Thanks-- yes it was a bad cups-devel.rpm file. I downloaded a new one from Redhat and got QuadToneRIP to build just fine. Yeah! Now I need help with installing the curves though. I want to use Epson Premium Luster paper with Ultrachrome inks for my printing. I looked in both the sampleInks and Profiles directories of QuadToneRIP, but didn't see any ink curves for Epson Premium Luster. I saw curves for Enhanced Matt and some other papers. Where can I get the curves for Premium Luster--UC inks and how do I install them? I downloaded the Epson UC2200.SIT file from Roy's site, but I have no idea what to do with a .SIT file or if it contains curves for Premium Luster. Perhaps there is some doc on this I didn't see? Just to see if I could do a print, I installed the already-provided curves for Enhanced Matte. But when I ran qtcups no curves showed up in the dialog box (My QUAD2200 printer and QuadToneRIP choices do show up OK). I selected Premium Luster paper in the dialog so perhaps that is why no curves showed up? Once I have the curves installed for Premium Luster, what settings should I use in the qtcups dialog box for that paper type? Thanks in advance for your help (anyone not just Roy!). I am so close on getting this to work I can taste the ink :) -North Krimsly --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Roy Harrington" <roy@h...> wrote: > > Hi North, > > It sounds like you've got two issues. > > The first is missing cups-config.
