My blacks with the 4000 using UC as shipped and all inks, not black only, are stunning. Better than my silver prints, which use a VERY slighty warm paper (it doesn't look warm until you put something cold beside it). So why mess with another ink? and as you point out, the right profile is important, so certainly you would have the right ink in right :~) I am expecting not to need a custom profile based on 4000 demo prints that I have seen, but it will take another day or two to be sure.
