Why would you want to use the 2200 driver?

Subject: [Digital BW] Problem with Epson 2200 driver + Monitoring on a 2100.

Hello all, 

Last night I tried to install the 2200 driver on my 2100. Everything was
fine but the Epson monitor did not work.
So I installed it (latest version from epson.com) and then the printer did
not want to print anymore.
I had to re-install the 2100 drivers to have it work again.

Does anyone have a tip for this : having the 2200 driver + printer
monitoring working on a 2100.
