RE: [Digital BW] Re: Epson 4000 BO and profiling

2004-05-12 by mehrdad

Hi you all I have three questions?

	1) what is BO?
	2) I am thinking about using the UT7 inkset with 2200, how do I
profile my papers? Now I use colorvision products for color but how about
B&W prints?

	3) any experience with MIS CFS for the 2200, I am tired of paying
for epson ink?

Hi Scott,

>>> So why mess with another ink?

For BO printing everything I've read says Ultrachrome matte black is
quite warm in tone. I take it you don't mind this warmness?

Also, for 7 ink B&W prints, profiles make a big difference by
eliminating the blue and magneta color casts -- I saw before and
after 4000 prints. My local shoop qouted Gretag print profiles 5 for
$200. Not outrageous in my opinon.
These are 2 easy methods in my opinion to get really good B&W...
