Digital BW, The Print

Help!  If anyone has had this problem, I would be grateful for any 
advice.  In trying to install a single line CFS (MIS Eboni) to print 
BO on my 890,  I noticed after going through the process that the 
word DYE was printed on the side of the cart.  They sent the wrong 
ink. So I de-installed it and put the OEM cart back in, but now the 
red ink light won't go off.  The carriage moves over to the right, 
but it won't charge, just stops with both red and green lights on, 
not flashing.  I've tried another black cart (aftermarket cheapo 
which is all I had around) and it won't work either.
