Actually the 1280 and 2200 both have 4pl droplets.  The 1280 produces
BO prints that are as good looking as the 2200 (at 2880 dpi).  I think
the main reasons for the 2200 BO popularity are faster printing speed,
fewer clogging problems, UC pigment inks for color prints, and the
rear paper feeder for thick papers (I haven't tried it, but I'm told
it will handle the 500gsm papers).
