Re: [Digital BW] Flatbed scanning of 4x5 film-Microtek i900?

2004-05-21 by Steven Karafyllakis

I keep hoping someone will mention the Microtek i900, but maybe its
toonew... the numbers look good-48 bit, 3200 dpi and a below-the
glass tray for film scanning, up to 8x10 in any of the popular
sizes. Price seems to be around $550.00 to 600.00 depending on the
vendor and software bundle, which includes some version of
Silverfast Ai. Anyone have any direct experience? I Also have any
Epson Expression 1600, and I'm thinking of replacing it, I sometimes
need bigger files size from my 4x5s to feed the 7500 printer.
