Epsons clog more frequently when one uses third party inks. 

Have you ever seen a post complaining about clogging with UC inks.  I suppose there are 
some, but...

I suffered MIS inks for quite a while; indeed they have advantages, but I decided to print 
rather than debug.

And are you into print quality (Epson)? or speed (Canon)? that should be the basic 
question.

For large posters, etc. Canon is great, but for fine art printing Epson is the only way to go.
That is why they have such a large support base.  Each company has chosen a market to 
focus on.
