Digital BW, The Print

I've just installed MIS UT2 and UTK inks in my Epson 1280 printer. I'm
using Epson Heavyweight Matte paper. I've made very good prints
without the Roark curves and no color correction. But when I tried to
use the same inks and printer settings with the Roark curves - well,
the best that can be said of the prints is that they were horrible. It
appears that the ink deposit is far too heavy and the colors are off.
Also  in the mid-tones the prints have an almost metallic sheen.

I've used the same setup but with the MIS QVM inks and the Roark
curves and have gotten superb results.

I must be doing something wrong. Suggestions would be most welcome.
