Ross,

I've used both and either will work well for you.  If
you are just starting in black and white, and do not
have much experience with B&W inkjet printing then I
would suggest the Piezography system to start.  Their
customer service is incredibly slow - but their
documentation and instructions are excellent.

The piezo system is monotone, so check with their
website for the different colors available.

Once you are a bit more advanced, I would try the UT2
inkset as it is the most versatile inkset available
for the 1280.  You will want to scour the list
archives for proper use of UT2, but it is worth the
extra work.
