Hi John The gamma you set can be from 1.8-2.4. However, the purpose of the gamma is to match the monitor's image display with the printed image. Currently, I am using a grayscale gamma of 2.0 but I am printing through a lab service that uses Studioprint. You might want to leave a higher gamma because gloss papers seem to have a higher DMAX than matte papers.
