Same with a step wedge, blocked up printed from Photoshop 7 smooth printed from Picture Window. The one printed with sliders from Picture Window was the smoothest. We are running Windows 98se. We have been running a twisted pair network this way for over 2 years never a glitch. We have had no reason to upgrade. We have 2000 in it's box that's never been opened and have never felt a need to go though the hassle. We may be going the Apple route soon and printing with a 16 bit RIP. Maybe not. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Gareth" <g.loc@o...> wrote: > How do step wedges print? > > Gareth > > --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "islandbuck2" > <islandbuck@b...> wrote: > > It is set to "Photo Paper". > > > > --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Gareth" > > <g.loc@o...> wrote: > > > Next... > > > > > > Paper setting in Print Driver - Photo Paper, everything other > > setting > > > gives 'muddy' images. > > > > > > If you are in 16bit the driver converts to 8bit so any fragmented > > > histograms you may have will be smoothed out. > > > > > > How do step wedges print, any blocking of tones in any particular > > > area? > > > > > > Gareth > > > > > > --- In > DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "islandbuck2" > > > <islandbuck@b...> wrote: > > > > Yep, Adobe RGB 1998 > > > > > > > > --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, Ross > Borgida > > > > <borgida@y...> wrote: > > > > > Is the RGB in Adobe RGB 1998?
