Norm, side by side when I try both Epson MK and Eboni on all matte
papers the Epson MK is significantly warmer, so much so on some it's
almost like sepia.  Now, this is using my 2200 and Epson's pigment
ink. Could you tell us which printer (perhaps you're comparing Eboni
with Epson dye black?) and which papers you are using?

It has been very interesting to read that the MIS Eboni is preferred by so
many BOnly users.  I've done some comparisons (unscientific to be sure) and
find that the Epson standard black gives me a blacker black and a cooler
print than the Eboni.  I also printed BOnly with the Piezography Portfolio
black, and found it a bit cooler than the Eboni, but not what I'm after.
The Epson seems to work best for what I want.
