Re: [Digital BW] PremierArt Print Shield Spray

You will find that the spray will reduce dMax on Matt papers (and shift the
other steps as well). Paul Roark as recommended using Lascaux Fixative on
matt papers rather than PremierArt Print Shield/Lyson Print Guard (same
product). It does not affect dMax to a significant degree. I just got some
but have noticed that it doesn¹t seem to provide the same degree of
protection as Lyson Print Guard but I have not tested this extensively yet.
You spray once the print is dry.

Steve

Subject: [Digital BW] PremierArt Print Shield Spray

Hello

I am interesed in possibly using the PremierArt Print Shield Spray.
I use Photorag and William Turner paper with the MIS UT2 inks. Is
the PremierArt Print Shield spray used with the Photorag and William
Turner Inks? When do you apply the spray to the paper - before or
after printing? Does the spray provide a higher DMAX or is the spray
only used for greater archivability?

Thanks for all responses in advance.

Regards
Ross
