Re: [Digital BW] Help setting up QTR on 2200

2004-07-20 by James Haney

Thanks for all of the input everyone.

I have learned a ton in the last 24 hours. Unfortunately, most of it at
about 2 AM.

For the record, according to Roy, the file to use for beta 9 on Panther
is the RGB file "inkseparation.psd"

I do, in fact, have the Eboni in the LK position and am using that.

However, I remember that I applied the BOOST to the K position which is
unused in my current profile.

I will try again with the BOOST applied to LK.

Anyone else have this problem. I am making a matte profile so the K
position is unused. apparently this is the ink used for all of the text
in the calibration file, so my scales all print out without any
numbers. I have to count patches to figure things out.

I tried re-enabling the K channel but got an error saying an ink can
only be defined once. I know I could figure the syntax out but didn't
want to waste any brain cycles last night (this morning).

I will post the ink descriptor tonight and hopefully I can tap into
your collective wisdom further.

Onward!!!!
