Carl or Richard- Please tell me what QTR is and if they or the UT7 inks are preferable for B&W work on the epson2200. Richard, The "Se" in the CoolSe profiles stands for Selenium tone and these profiles simply use slightly more light magenta ink relative to light cyan, compared to the Cool profiles where light magenta and light cyan are used in equal amounts. Neutral or a near neutral tone is achieved by blending either the Cool or CoolSe profile with the warm profile to get the desired tone - just experiment with various blending proportions to get the "neutral" tone you like. Different papers will usually have different ink limit values and also different partitioning points, where the black and light black inks blend together. This may or may not affect the print when using a specific profile for other papers, depending on how similar they are. Usually, you won't see dramatic differences when using the matte paper profiles interchangeably with most of the cotton rag papers, but for critical work it would be best to use paper/ink specific profiles. See the instructions on Roy's site for the Mac version of QTR for information on how profiles are constructed. I don't think that profile construction has been implemented yet for the PC version.
