Depending on your ink and paper, you also might try what Roy used to call Boost K, letting your darkset gray underprint your K. Whether or not you get a dmax boost, and how much is helpful, you'll have to test for. Even if you get no boost, but no dmax decline, you may get smoother blacks. Also, if you are not using a 100% pigment K ink, you'll get a little more stability down there. Watch for bleed. ... > As for needing therapy, I thought this _was_ therapy <g> little did we know...
