I use an Athlon XP 2800+, (something like a Pentium IV 2.2 Ghz, but cheaper). Nvidia video board. (there are plenty of models) 1 Gygabyte of RAM. Two disks of 80 Gygabytes each. The second is used to backup the first one. And a Samsung 193P LCD monitor (very very nice). Memory is very important. Sometimes more than CPU speed. -----Original Message----- From: yaakovsinclair [mailto:sinclair@...] Sent: segunda-feira, 16 de agosto de 2004 13:30 To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Digital BW] Ideal Windows computer spec Firstly, many thanks to all those who took the time and trouble to answer my previous questions. Your help and expertise is very much appreciated. I have to upgrade my computer. Here in Israel, it seems that the vast majority of people that I know use Windows. Is there a really good reason to use Mac over Windows XP for Photoshop and printing on the 2100? I hope not. Second. Given that Windows is on a par with Mac, what would be an ideal spec for a fast Windows machine.
