Art What paper are you using? The reason I ask is because I have had the effect you are talking about when using Epson Archival Matt. It looks as though the paper was overly saturated and it dried in wide uneven bands. It is particularly bad in the heavy black areas of a print. I have not seen it using thicker paper like HPR. So I wonder if you should try lightening the ink load a little.
