With respect to video cards, don't waste your money on high-end 3D graphics
cards, unless you're also heavily into gaming. For photo editing, you want a
graphics card that can support high resolution 2D at good scan rates. Matrox
fits the bill nicely. A dual head card with two monitors can also be a plus.
