Digital BW, The Print

Quick question....is it normal for Velvet fine art to print a bit 
lighter than say Ilford radiant white, or H. german etching, or 
museo?....all my papers print very clos eto the same on my 1280, with 
Mis UT2 inks, except for velvert fine art which is lighter in the 
darkest areas. I have read that VFA has good Dmax, so I am wondering 
which way to approach it. May an incerase in contrast, or just a 
darkening of the print?. Trying to conserve paper cuz i dont have much 
of it.....thanks, DM
