I don't believe it is really that close to a high end dedicated film scanner, especially for the smaller format films like 35mm and 2 1/4. The larger the film, the better the T2500 does. For 4x5, I would agree, it's really quite good. The Leaf isn't that slow for B&W (after all, this IS a B&W group ;-)...in fact, it's reasonably fast...under 4 minutes for a 6x6 scan.
