Digital BW, The Print

Leafscan is great, but VERY slow. Agfa T2500 is almost as good, not
quite. A great scanner though.

The T2500 IS a very good scanner for a non-dedicated film scanner, no doubt.
I don't believe it is really that close to a high end dedicated film
scanner, especially for the smaller format films like 35mm and 2 1/4.  The
larger the film, the better the T2500 does.  For 4x5, I would agree, it's
really quite good.

The Leaf isn't that slow for B&W (after all, this IS a B&W group ;-)...in
fact, it's reasonably fast...under 4 minutes for a 6x6 scan.

Hi Richard:

I'd highly recomend the Epson 1680 pro USB or Firewire(about 30% faster as 
per Macaddict).  The results I've sen from 4x5 chromes are excellent and my 
35mm negs are looking incredible at smaller sizes using Silverfast.  it's 
really fast too!

This what I use. For 6x6 you are limited to between 10 and 12 inch square
prints. I've scannedone 5x4- for someone else- andit is v. good. BUT it uses
plastic filmholders, so there is a curve in the neg. I'd recomend wet
mounting for a neg that size.
